New Pokemon type revealed...

Not that I care, me being the one who stopped caring about Pokemon after gen 3 but there has been news of a new type. The fairy type. Apparently it has the power to take down the Dragon type but is a new type necessary? If so, explain why.

I heard about this too, but from Fuse because I never check the news.

Well it could be a good idea if it WASN'T Pokemon. Because this isn't an actual type, but neither is Dragon but they stretched it a bit.

This really just reminds me of the cancelled Bird type they tried to make. But hopefully they can make Fairy work.

I personally don't like it being that it's change. I'll straight up say it: I'm afraid of change. But being as it is, Nintendo has messed around with pokemon too much but this is pushing it too far. To be honest, I was interested in X and Y, but seeing a new type, something that hasn't been done since gen 2 with the addition of ghost and a few others but, this ruined it. It'll disrupt the balance of the current game's advantages and disadvantages. At least gen 4 and 5 KEPT the advantages and disadvantages.

Light would honestly be overpowered. It'd have an advantage over ghost and dark types, which, Nintendo wants to keep top tier. Given both types are weak, not for attack, defense, or up based, they created this superior type to give them a chance in the world of pokemon. Light has a low chance of happening.

Ugh... Just remember this.

The type isn't the problem, the Pokemon is. That's all you need to know.

And I don't see how Light could be a problem, sure it will have a 2x effect over Ghost and Dark... It would also have weaknesses and drawbacks. Also, almost everything is super-effective toward Rock type. What about that?

It's only the Pokemon that has this type is the problem. Remember that. Not one type so far is bad. Not even bug, it's just the Pokemon.

But Nintendo gave Ghost and Dark type to give both types a fighting chance. If you look at both the types stats truthfully suck. The truth is, Nintendo wanted Ghost and Dark to be a bit stronger and combined the two and gave them a higher chance. It's a type with no weaknesses for a reason. At least they didn't give the type combo wonder guard.

No, the pokemon were just fine by themselves. Dark has high physical attack, and is used for more for effecting the foe's stats.

While Ghosts are more of their high damage curses and such damage taking effects.

Really, my favorite pokemon is Poochyena / Mightyena. And those 2 are pure Dark types, I still did great damage with just that!

But they are still weak. Their stats are pretty low. Magikarp can have stronger attack than them combined, but then again, it can have stronger attack that any other pokemon in the game, but that's beside the point.

Ghost and Dark isn't a bad stat at all. It depends on how well you use it, I actually prefer using Dark type because how much a good physical tank it can be if you use your cards right.

But I'm not a ghost user, but I've seen many good trainers with ghost pokemon. Stat's isn't everything in a fight, you should know this.

I know this. All I use is Ghost and Dark. But what I'm saying is, the two types had many disadvantages to others, leading to Nintendo creating that.
Also, thank you for not asking why Magikarp can have the highest attack stat in the game. Every time I mention that, they tell me to explain and it gets tedious. Just throwing it out there though, splash does something. Each use increases its attack stat.

Look at Ground and Rock types. Do you think they should be treated the same way? I mean, they have the most weaknesses out of everything.

But there is nothing they can do about that lol.
If they can do the same, definitely.

But, what would happen if Nintendo just dropped them because they have too many weaknesses? The same goes to your thoughts about Dark/Ghost type. I don't think they should be cut just because they are at a disadvantage.

I never said that. I just said Nintendo combined the two for that reason.

I never said anything remotely near to saying "Ghost and Dark should be cut from the game." I was saying Light shouldn't be added...

That was the general direction the conversation started as, and you changed this very faintly. I wouldn't notice it my first few times, but now I can see that because I already know what the main purpose is.

And you didn't get it from this?

Now you are just assuming, I did read all of it, but my reply wasn't toward that post because I was making that reply before you posted that. Once I finished I found out you posted that, I was annoyed and skimmed over it. I still followed my original post, but used the information I gathered from your post as an example.

So, what you gathered was me saying my two favorite types in the WHOLE game should be cut?
